I CHOOSE LOVE

I recently taught a Bhakti Yoga Teacher’s Training at  to a group of 23 beautiful beings.

Bhakti is the path of LOVE.

The transformation that happened with each and every person there was a truly beautiful blossoming of the Heart.

 Zora Neale Hurston said,

 “Love makes your Soul come out of it’s hiding place.”

 Part of the training was teaching a Bhakti Yoga class.

 One of the students asked, “Do I have to teach?”

 And I said, “Do you want to teach?”

 The student said, “No.”

 I said with total acceptance, “OK, don’t teach then.”

 She immediately replied, “OK, I’ll teach.”

 The exchange brought tears to my eyes.

 We were in the presence of LOVE moving through us and guiding us.

 In that moment there was no difference between Teacher and Student, the Divine and the Devotee, The Lover and The Beloved.

 The 30 second conversation was one of the greatest teachers of my life.

 What if we could all be this way with each other?

 Honest. Open. Clear. Vulnerable. Compassionate. Gracious. Humble. Loving. Kind. Courageous. Flexible. Accepting. Present.

 I have faith that this is possible.

 And this is why…

 I CHOOSE LOVE.

 No matter what.
